RTO seminar at Aurangabad

  • IAC organized the second leg of a one day Seminar-cum-training for Maharashtra RTO personnel on “Inspection & Safety - The Key to successful and prosperous Auto LPG Industry in India”, at the historical city of Aurangabad on 28th July’07. The Seminar was well attended by Motor Vehicle Inspectors, Dy. RTOs, RTOs and other senior Officers.

    The Seminar was presided over by the Transport Commissioner, Maharashtra , Mr. S.D. Shinde. A booklet on “Safe Practices/ Check List for LPG Operated Vehicles”, primarily aimed at assisting Motor Vehicle Inspectors and also at the ALPG vehicle owners at large, was released at the venue by the Transport Commissioner. The booklet has been jointly prepared by IAC and ARAI. Mr. John Joseph, President IAC, spoke on the occasion throwing light, inter alia, on the health hazards on account of vehicular pollution, and gave a global picture of Auto LPG industry.

    , spoke on the CCOE role in making ALPG installations safe. Mr. C.K. Khanna of Aegis Logistics Ltd. gave a perspective on consumer and social issues, the reasons why LPG would be beneficial for society. A talk on Retro fitment and the concerns arising out of operations by spurious players was delivered by Mr. Manish Dave of Rohan Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Sanjay Mehta of Minda Autogas Ltd. gave an insight on OEMs perspectives and the growing bi-fuel car market in India. Mr. Sasane, Dy. RTO , Mumbai gave a snap shot of the role and responsibility the RTO plays in promoting clean and green fuels like AutoLPG.
